“SAD”

Music and Lyrics by James M. MacKay

Can't look away

Can't stare behind

Raising the pulse in my mind

Could it be there's something insecure

Cannot hide the thing that finds me

Take the night and sits behind me

It's something I will endure

Glad to see the door with my eyes

Could there be a truth in disquise wanting my soul

Take away the inner madness

You can see to where the bind is

Forcing heart to the floor

It's already sad

You know its a shame the way things are

It's already sad

But no one is crying for us now

It's already sad

Reaching out to one distraction

Mumble through the pointless question

This answer's hard to define

See a sympathetic sunrise

Such an element of surprise

A vertigo of despair

Rain it falls for my protection

Will this be the mass defection

You want the stars to decide

Throw a dice I take my chances

Stand my ground and dodge the lances

But our future's collide

It's already sad

You know its a shame the way things are

It's already sad

But no one is crying for us now

It's already sad

I listen to you

Won't you listen to me

I listen to you

Please listen to me

Sad

It's already sad

You know its a shame the way things are

It's already sad

But someone is crying for us now

It's already sad
